David Lynch is, of course, widely recognised for his distinctive contributions to film, music and art. However, his passion of meditation to his life and creative process was just as important, if not more so. Lynch was a strong advocate for Transcendental Meditation (TM) for decades and started the The David Lynch Foundation in 2005, with the UK branch opening in 2012. He believed this practice not only boosts creativity but also cultivates inner peace and in particular wanted to help those dealing with traumatic stress.

We are honoured that the The David Lynch Foundation will be joining us at A Gathering of the Angels: A Tribute and Celebration of the world of David Lynch. They will be present all weekend to chat to anyone who may be interested in learning the art of Transcendental Meditation.
So what exactly is TM?
TM is a scientifically verified, technique that effortlessly allows the mind to settle down to a state of inner calm.
A simple, natural, and easily learnt mental technique
Does not require any religious beliefs, philosophy, or change in lifestyle
Practised for 20 minutes twice a day
Unlike other meditation strategies, it does not involve concentration or control of the mind.
More than ten million people of all ages, nationalities, and religions have learned the technique around the world.
Successfully offered in medical schools, hospitals, military academies, substance abuse centres, prisons, and other settings worldwide.

Group Meditation on Sunday
One of the most special moments of our David Lynch tribute event will be a group meditation set for the Sunday by The David Lynch Foundation. This collective practice offers a chance to access the peace and clarity that meditation can provide while fostering a sense of unity. The David Lynch Foundation will talk about TM and it's benefits before leading Lynch fans into a 10 minute group meditation.
Alongside this special event, we will also host a charity auction to support The David Lynch Foundation. We will also be holding two more charity auctions, details of which will be released soon. Tim Burgess, lead singer of The Charlatans, will be selling his Tim Peaks Diner coffee at
A Gathering of the Angels and the proceeds of this will also be given to The David Lynch Foundation.
